How did you get into SEO?

I started out at Yell (yes, the Yellow Pages) leading website development and online marketing. SEO was part of that mix, and I was hooked. I loved how organic marketing weaves into the bigger picture, so I moved to MyProtein (The Hut Group) to focus on SEO full-time. It's just grown from there.

What's the best thing about your job?

The variety. SEO never sits still, and neither do I. I love switching focus throughout the week, and I genuinely enjoy that the goalposts keep moving. I get bored easily, so being kept on my toes suits me perfectly.

Is there a highlight in your career so far?

Speaking at BrightonSEO. Twice. The team there are brilliant, it's an amazing experience, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Working alongside Andy Mayor in a previous role is right up there too.

What's your favourite thing about working at Monday Clicks?

The people, hands down. Everyone here genuinely loves what they do and always goes the extra mile. I've worked in SEO for over 10 years, and this is the best team I've been part of.

If you weren't working in marketing, what would you be doing instead?

A mortician, or running an animal sanctuary. 

What's your go-to productivity fuel?

Monster Zero Ultra and a bit of Black Sabbath.

What's one thing people might be surprised to know about you?

I'm nearly 6ft tall — people always assume I'm tiny on Teams calls, but my Scandi genes had other plans. I also have AuDHD, which tends to surprise people because I work hard at staying organised. And I love exotic animals -  if I could have a pet python in the house, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?

Most of my time goes to being mum to my two young kids - hands down my favourite thing. We're always outside, making memories. When I get a bit of me-time, I read, play guitar, paint, or hike trails with old ruins on them. Given unlimited time, I'd travel non-stop. Kenya was phenomenal - I can't wait to go back.

If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be?

Instantly speaking every language. I can hold my own in Spanish, dabbled in Latin at school, and I've been learning Gaelic for about a year - but being fluent in everything, instantly? That would be amazing.

Anything else you'd like to add?

I'm a little bit TikTok famous - just over 42K followers, hoping to hit 50K by the end of the year. It's led to some brilliant partnerships too, including Gilead, ViiV Healthcare, and Terrence Higgins Trust, plus an invite to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Random fact: I'm oddly lucky. I've won every radio competition I've ever entered. Hopefully I haven't just jinxed that.
