Q&A with Abbie.

You’re the Founder of Monday Clicks, how did it all start?

It's funny when you get to a stage in your life and you realise that everything pointed to where I am today without me realising it at the time. Studying Fashion Promotion at University I created a 'Shopping Guide' website where people who wanted to shop in big cities could create their own shopping journey making sure they visited all the shops they wanted and map out their day with coffee stops and lunch rests on the way.

It was this Shopping Guide that secured me a role as a Trainee Buyer in Primark's Head Office. The CEO was totally impressed and kept asking me to launch it!

I left Buying behind to fulfil a career in PR & Marketing and always admired what journalists and bloggers did. When I had my first child I launched my own parenting blog and got such a buzz from measuring web clicks and seeing what content got the most impressions. Landing a freelance role to write for Metro's parenting section and seeing one of my articles go viral was when I realised I had a talent for online content.

From there a few businesses asked me to write their blogs, and before I knew it I had grown a team of SEO copywriters. Feeling frustrated that the rankings (and therefore) results of our blogs relied a lot on the SEO performance of our clients websites, I knew I had to build our own SEO function to ensure everything we were creating achieved a return on investment.

The fact that the pandemic has made remote working the 'norm' was a huge benefit for Monday Clicks as it means I can pick the best of the best to join our team without worrying about location.

What's your favourite aspect about working at Monday Clicks?

The fact that Monday Clicks is a small, agile agency means there is no red tape. We can simply flex our team to fit into the roles that our clients' need. We're an ambitious, hard working and conscientious team who will only be satisfied when we've got the very best result.

What's your career highlight to date?

There have been a few throughout my professional journey. The first was most definitely being chosen out of hundreds of candidates to work in Vivienne Westwood's Press Office as an intern while at university. The second was winning the Young PR Professional's award...twice. And thirdly, it has to be launching Monday Clicks and building a team of people who I admire and love working with every single day.

Why should businesses choose Monday Clicks over other agencies?

You can guarantee you're getting the very best here as all of us have had careers (prior to Monday Clicks) working with big brands and impressive agencies. We have bundles of experience and expertise with huge ambition to achieve out of this world results. There's also no SEO jargon here. It's straight up, modern SEO.
